Last min WIP ... Not.
Well, with tomorrow being St Patty's day, and me wanting to make a Shamrock pin. I thought to my self "Find a quick pattern and hook one up."

Wednesday Kitty Post!
Okay, I think we can all say that I have shown to be a tiny bit obsessed with my cat Persephone. I just can't help it. I love my kitty.
Persephone is just so expressive, and cute, and sweet, and a pain; all rolled in to one normal-not-normal cat.
Lately she has developed a fondness for sleeping on pillow on the sofa.
As you can see, she really likes this red sofa pillow. She is also giving me That look. You know. The one that says "What are you Doing?"
I think she thought I was going to play with her mouse. LOL
Of course since it's Wednesday I suppose I should also share some of my work in progress. :-)
I'm working on my "lazy" blanket.
This is what I work on when I'm too lazy to count, or follow a pattern. Do you do that? I simply can't believe that I'm the only one with a lazy project!
This yarn. I love this yarn. I know I've gone on about it before, but I'll do it again!
This is the Island Collection. The yarn is 67% Cotton, 25% Wool, and 8% Silk.
It crochets up like a dream!!
I have this blanket I'm working on, and I have a sweater I need to finish by putting buttons onto it. I just haven't got the "umph" up to mess with buttons tonight.
What's your current project?

Voting: Or my crochet and hopes in progress....
Feel the Bern! Maybe?
Yesterday in GA was the day to vote in our primary. I voted Democratic, as I felt the need to vote for Bernie Sanders.
Yes, I think his ideas are good ones.
We'll see how this plays out by November.
Right now I'm still working on my sweater. I am seriously hoping to have it done by Monday, and as I'm on the last finishing edge, I should.
How's your week so far?

WIP Wednesday!!
It's Wednesday. That means it's time to see what I'm working on!
This is a sweater that I had thought I was finished. I have since decided it needed to be longer.
So I snipped in two spots and frogged the bottom shell edging and started adding length. You can see the frogged yarn wound up on a bobbin.
This shows what my two pretty glass buttons look like.
And of course, I have a blanket that I've been working on for the past few years now. Like seriously, I have been hooking away at this one project off and on for maybe four years or so? At least? At this point I have no idea if I'll ever get this one blanket finished. LOL
What's your longest running project?

Right now I am...
Right now I am enjoying my Tardis blend tea.
This is the side table next to where I sit on my sofa. My crochet, embroidery, and nail polish tend to sit on this for way to long. It never seems to ever stay tidy. But I love being so crafty.
Right now I love crocheting.
I have started another shawl to put into my Etsy store. This yarn is Paton's Firefly. I love the frosty snowflake vibe I am getting from this yarn!
I love, love, love my shawl.
My lovely malbrigo/jade sapphire shawl is on pause while I await a secon skein of the malbrigo yarn. In this picture you can see where I've added the second yarn to the shawl. I kinda wish I had started off the shawl this way, but not enough to frog the whole thing and start over. I know I will still love the finished project.
I am loving the morning sun shining into my house.
It is just starting to feel cooler and I can just start to smell fall in the air. I love fall. Pumpkins, pies, hot ciders, and fires in my fireplace. I can't wait.
I am lovig living in the country.
Often you can see deer munching on the grass in my front yard. One of the babies growing up is a piebald deer. It's so pretty. Hopefully I will be able to get a good picture of it soon.
So, what are you loving right now?

And one more year makes Sixteen...good grief, I'm getting old!!!
So, it seems that I'm great at blogging Wed-Fri, and pants at blogging the other days of the week. I'll see if I can't get into more of a more daily routine. :-)
This past Saturday, two of my Diva friends, my younger son and I went out to Penzeys spice store, lunch, and then to Buford's Farmers Market. I love, love, love this store!
Food. I love food! And any store that has food from around the world, is a star store for me!!
Strange colored bell peppers! According to Sheri, these have been grown too close to eggplants and that's what causes the neat color. I have no idea if it affects the taste.
So many different kinds and flavored of olive oils and other cooking oils!!
These are different types of eggplants!! They looked so colorful and tiny!
Tuesday was Shae's birthday. (My younger son.) He has turned sixteen.
16!!
Sixteen.
Cripes. I feel old when I think of that. He is studying the drivers ed book so that he can take his learners test and get a learners drivers license. And that makes me feel even older! I think I need some coffee, now.
His dad had sent his gifts, so I wrapped them up when I wrapped the one we had gotten him.
The Nightmare Before Christmas is kinda big in my house. At least it is with Shae and I. :-)
I make a cookie-brownie creation for his "cake". We decided that his piece kinda looked like Oggie Boogie. It was also decided that Oggie Boogie Christmas Brownie-Cookies will become a thing this coming holidays. And I can't wait! I love fall!! It can not come soon enough!
And here is Shae, trying to decide just which game to play first. LOL he is such a stinking ham! I love this kid! Even when he is being a substantial pain in the butt!! Teenagers.
Will we ever really understand what each generation is going through? I'm in my 40's. Can you just imagine going to school with the technology that our kids are using? The phones? The tablets?
Well, I'm still working on my two shawls. They are coming along so well. I love the feel of these yarns!
This is the Noro yarn. It's so thick and scrunchy!!
This is the Malbrigo yarn. It's so fine and soft and fluffy!
And this? This is my newest garb project. I need a supportive under garment that will give me comfortable support, and not give me too modern a silhouette. For this, I've gathered up some scrap patterning fabric, and an old bra to use for a somewhat guide. This will be a fly-be-the-seat-of-my-pants sewing exercise!
Stay tuned for the, um, fun! LOL

An "International" weekend!
Well, it's been a whole week since my last post. I have so, so, so much I want to write about that's going on.
So, I'll start with the big stuff!
The Hubby and I were busy this past Sat. First we had to go pick up a new-to-us freezer. I was so happy! Now I can buy more meats and veggies in bulk and keep me in the lovely stand up freezer and we can save more money on he food budget. Woot!
Well, that is if we can get it home in one piece. I was a nervous wreck with it on the back of our almost flat bed trailer!
See!!

Well, that is if we can get it home in one piece. I was a nervous wreck with it on the back of our almost flat bed trailer!
See!!
What had me more nervous was how my hubby was going to get it into the house with one teen at home, when it took three guys to get it on the trailer in te first place! Not to mention that we had to drive up hill on a bumpy gravel road!
Well, the freezer stayed in place! And my husband seems to be related to the hulk! Just with out the anger management issues. LOL Because not only was he able to get it off the trailer, up four stairs, and all the way across the house, but he was also able to get it to fit in the funny built corner! Yay!
We now have plenty of food storage space. Oh, the brand of freezer?
An International! :-)
Oh, but we weren't done yet. Nope. Now we, with Shae, the one teen at home this weekend, were off to see the 1974 Airstream International that we are being gifted! I am so, so, so, so, so beyond myself with this!!!
I have always wanted an Airstream!!
And, now we are getting one!
Woot!!
See?!
Like a crazy lady, I didn't think to get a full picture of it.
It needs quite a bit of tlc, since it has had parts of a dead pine tree fall on to it.
First order of business will be to replace the tires and tow it home. Then will come all the fun! I of course have started not just one, but two pinterest boards about this!
The Husband and I are talking about creating a joint blog to detail the transformation. I'll keep posting updates here too. (Since I know y'all will be just hanging onto the edges of your seats waiting for more pictures.)
;-)
Oh, and since it is Wednesday, I do have my WIP to show off!
The lace All Shawl is coming along fantastically! I love this yarn!
The yarn is Malabrigo Baby Silkpaca, in color way Abrio!
It is so soft, and ... Scrummy!
Oh, the cup?
It was a brilliant idea that I came up with. It holds the ball of yarn, and if I had thought of it sooner, the yarn would be coming out of the hole in the lid.
I am so taken with my idea, that I foresee many of my yarn loving friends getting travel cups with yarn for the big holiday that comes in December! (I am *not* naming this holiday because I have not had Halloween yet!) ;-)
So, tell me, how was your weekend?

W.I.P. Wednesday!
Well, it's Wednesday and that means I get to show off my works in progress! Yay! As I've mentioned I have the shawl that I started so that I can have a project to work on while at church. Well, the pattern is so simple and fantastic that I needed to make it more of a challenge, at least that's how I'm going to spin it! LOL
So, here is the second shawl that I'm making.
Yep, lace weight yarn, or rather thread! It's so lovely!! I love, love, love this color way!
I have no memory what this yarn is. My Diva gals gave it to me earlier this year. But I do know that I love it and will so enjoy the feel of this shawl when it's done. I'm going to use all of this ball and then I'll add more yarn to the shawl to keep going for a decent size.
More scrummy yarn from my stash. I'll use these two yarns together for the rest of the shawl, and if I can, I'll get more if the verigated yarn to do the lace edging with. These two colors are a near perfect match with the other yarn!
I'm so going to Love, LoVe, LOVE this shawl whee it's done!!
I've of course been working on my blanket too! Can't leave it all alone, as I can't wait till it's fall and cool and I can use it, and take it camping with me at events. Scrummy, scrummy yarn!
See, scrummy yarn! This is all I have left of the yarn. I'll have to order more since I really want to make this a blanket that can cover my king sized bed. Huge! I want it to be Huge!
LOL
So, what are your W.I.P.?

WIP Wednesday!
I have been staying busy.
And still suffering from "Start-ites". I started and finished two projects today!
Small, instant gratification projects are just what we need once in a while to keep our creative juices flowing, don't ya think?
First up is my Lavender Purse to hang in my car.
This yarn was purchased at an event, and I can not for the life of me remember what the yarn is other than a mix of wool, silk, and maybe cotton...?
First step is deciding on just how big I want the base of the purse to be.
Here is the purse all done and stuffed with both clove and lavender.
But, it seems to be lacking...pizazz, yes?
And Ta-Da!!
Then Lavender. Purse with a handle and pearl!
I like it. It looks very lovely in its home hanging from my rear view mirror in my car.
My other project, well, a coffee cup cozy!
This was a super quick and fast one to make up.
I'm very pleased with the colors and the way the striping patterned out. I of course has to make a flower for it.
While these were quick makes started and finished today, I still have my lovely, awesome blanket that I've been working on forever it seems. LOL
Pink, lots of pink on that one. But, I love the color pink!
Snowball is still helping make sure I keep plucking along on the blanket.
So, what one ever lasting project are you working on?
